Lorrie Peniston is a leader in the integration of Positive Psychology with traditional psychotherapy creating a hybrid approach to counseling. She has more than three decades of experience in various clinical treatment settings including over 24 years in private practice working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. As a consultant and educator, Lorrie provides training in both the private and public sector.
In 1999, Lorrie was appointed to the Mental Health Review Tribunal in Bermuda by the Minister of Health and Family Services, a position she still maintains. Lorrie is a member of the Collaborative Law Alliance in Bermuda working as a coach to divorcing couples where she successfully facilitates a more respectful and regulated uncoupling experience that results in more positive outcomes for spouses and children. Lorrie is also a trainer for CLA professionals in Bermuda.
Lorrie received her B.S. with Honors in Individual and Family Studies from the Pennsylvania State University and earned her Masters of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania. She received extensive post-graduate training in resilience and has been a member of the elite Penn Resilience Training Team since 2010 providing resilience and positive psychology training around the world.
